The Virtual Filing Cabinet

How to add (create) a new folder to the filing system.

On the following screen, enter the unique index of the folder, the name, any keywords to assist in searching or describing the folder and the category. You can also browse through the existing folders in the Virtual Filing Cabinet on the right side of the screen to assist in determining your index based on your alphabetical placement.

Once all your information has been entered either select Save & Return which will save your new folder and return you to the Virtual Filing Cabinet software, or Save & Add Another if you would like to enter some more folders at this time.

Your new folder is created in the Virtual Filing Cabinet and ready to save any computer files directly into under the index & folder names, stored in the category you entered under the Virtual Filing Cabinet on your computer network.

You can also print out the Crystal Tabs & Folder Stickers for your new folder at this time by using the Print Wizard.
